We recognise our responsibility to safeguard and promote the welfare of learners and to protect them from harm, abuse, exploitation, and discrimination. Our approach to safeguarding reflects current UK legislation and best practice, ensuring that concerns are identified, reported, and acted upon appropriately and swiftly.

We also recognise the importance of the Prevent duty under UK safeguarding guidance, which aims to reduce the risk of individuals becoming drawn into terrorism or extremist ideologies. We take proportionate steps to raise awareness, promote British values of mutual respect and tolerance, and ensure that any concerns relating to radicalisation or extremism are referred through the appropriate channels in line with statutory guidance and local safeguarding procedures.

Our commitment includes:
