TechFirst youth works alongside teachers and Computing leads across six counties — delivering inspiring next-generation technology workshops, empowering staff through industry-relevant CPD and helping schools earn their Tech Youth Accreditation.
We bring our ‘Inspiring Tech’ Roadshow into your school — covering machine learning, AI literacy, Python physical computing, data science, and game development, all fully resourced and delivered by our trained instructors. You don't need to prepare anything. We take care of delivery — and leave you with the lesson plans and resources to carry it forward.

Book a Workshop
The Inspiring Tech roadshow visits 99 schools across Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex, Cambridgeshire & Peterborough, Hertfordshire, and Bedfordshire every year.
Each visit covers 2 sessions of approximately 24 students each in Key Stages 3,4,5. Every session is fully resourced and delivered by our IQA-trained instructors. You don't need to arrange anything except a room and a class of students.

Machine Learning
Students train real ML models using Google's Teachable Machine platform. No prior coding required. Links to AI career pathways.

Large Language Models
Hands-on exploration of how LLMs work — prompting, fine-tuning concepts, and real-world applications. Suitable for KS4/KS5.

How AI works, where it's used, and what it means for society — a broader, discussion-led session suitable for all abilities at KS3/KS4.

Python & Physical Computing
Python programming using Raspberry Pi and SenseHat. Students write real code that interacts with physical hardware.

Multiple regression analysis on real datasets. Introduces students to data thinking and statistical reasoning. Strong links to maths curriculum.

Students build a simple 2D/3D game scene using the Unity engine. Introduces game logic, design thinking, and coding concepts.

Our instructors bring all equipment, resources, and materials. You book the room — we handle everything else.

After the visit, you receive the full Teacher Resource Pack: lesson plans, slides, student handouts, and the Gatsby Benchmark alignment sheet.
Workshop Visits
Tech Youth workshops are free for all state-funded schools in the programme area. Priority is given to schools in the top 25% for Free School Meals and council-identified high-need areas — but all partner schools are welcome to request a visit.
