Tech Educators has been awarded a 'Strong Standard' rating by Ofsted — confirming that we operate above the expected standard for education providers in the UK.
The inspection recognised several things we're proud of: our inclusive approach to widening participation, the supportive learning environment we've built, and the strength of our leadership team. Inspectors also highlighted something that matters deeply to us — that our instructors bring real, current industry experience into every session, ensuring learners develop genuine job-ready skills.
Widening Participation in Tech and AI
One of the standout findings in the report was our commitment to making technology careers accessible to people who are traditionally underrepresented in the sector.
Ofsted praised our leaders as "advocates for widening participation", recognising the work we do to reach people facing socioeconomic barriers and support them into digital and AI roles. This isn't a side project for us — inclusion, high expectations and putting learners at the centre of every decision is how we operate.
If you're someone who's been told tech isn't for people like you, we'd disagree.
Why This Matters Right Now
This recognition comes at a time when the UK's digital skills gap is widening, not closing. Nearly 39% of jobs now require digital competencies and 76% of employers report difficulty filling roles because of ongoing skills shortages.

Tech Educators was founded to tackle exactly this problem. We provide practical, accessible training that helps adults move into technology and management careers — regardless of their background or prior experience.
"Receiving a 'Strong standard' from Ofsted is a huge moment for our team. The UK faces a significant digital skills shortage, and the people most often locked out of the tech sector are those who would benefit most from the opportunities it offers. Our focus has always been on opening those doors."
— James Adams, CEO
What We Deliver
Coordinated from our head office in Norwich, we run online and in-person courses across the UK, currently supporting more than 150 adult learners through intensive training programmes ranging from 10 to 16 weeks.
Our courses cover AI skills training, software development, digital marketing, data analysis, and leadership and management — with every programme designed to get you into work or help you grow in your current role.
Inspectors noted that learners "make extensive progress from their starting points" and produce "work of a very high standard." The majority of our graduates go on to secure positions in the tech sector or use their new skills to grow their own businesses.
Every learner also receives full career support — CV preparation, interview coaching, and ongoing alumni mentoring — which drives strong outcomes across all our programmes.
What Comes Next
We're not standing still. Our ambition is to build on our bootcamp success and become a leading provider of Adult Skills Funded learning and corporate training, to upskill employees with digital skills and provide AI leadership courses for management, across the UK.
"With flexible, instructor-led learning, we can help more people develop essential digital and AI skills — wherever they're based."
— James Adams, CEO
The 'Strong Standard' Ofsted rating strengthens our position as a trusted provider of AI, digital skills, and leadership education — and reinforces what we set out to do from the start: create inclusive paths to sustainable tech careers and help close the UK's digital skills gap.
