The Corn Exchange, King's Lynn
HackEd is coming to King's Lynn this November, bringing the Future Talent: Tech Programme to a two-day finale at the Corn Exchange.
Students from across King's Lynn and West Norfolk will come together to Create, Code and Collaborate, building working solutions to real-world problems with support from industry mentors.
And this year's challenge is a big one: technology and the new hospital.

From first ideas to the HackEd finale
HackEd King's Lynn is the final stage of the Future Talent: Tech Programme, run in partnership with the Borough Council of King's Lynn & West Norfolk and the Queen Elizabeth Hospital to open up real pathways into technology for young people across West Norfolk.
The journey starts at King's Lynn Library, with opportunities to explore technology, build skills and be ready for the hackathon.

King's Lynn HackEd
The big finale. Teams of students will take over the Corn Exchange, working with industry mentors to build a working solution to a real-world problem. The two days finish with final presentations, as teams take their ideas to our judges and show what they've built.
This year's brief
Technology and the new hospital
West Norfolk is preparing for one of the biggest building projects in its history: a brand-new hospital for the area.
And when you think about a modern hospital, you might not immediately think about technology. But it's everywhere: from patient records and diagnostics to wayfinding, logistics and the smart systems that keep a building running.
That's the challenge we're opening up to this year's HackEd teams. Students will explore real healthcare challenges and build working technology solutions, discovering how the skills they're learning today could help shape the future of healthcare in their own community.
This isn't just a challenge to solve. It's a chance to imagine what's possible.
Two days of Create, Code and Collaborate
The Corn Exchange becomes HackEd HQ for two days, as teams of students work together on a real-world challenge, with support from mentors working in the tech industry.
We provide the essentials: loan laptops, training, food and plenty of support, so students just need to bring themselves.
It's about more than getting something to work. Teams need to think about the people they're solving the problem for, explain their ideas and bring their solution to life.
The event finishes with final presentations to our judges. Afterwards, students have the chance to come back to their projects, reflect on what they've achieved and turn their HackEd experience into something they can be proud of and put on their CV.
